A protected animal1 that has been subjected to one or more regulated procedures2 must not be used for a further regulated procedure unless the appropriate authority3 has consented to such further use and the following conditions are met4.
The first condition is that the actual severity of the regulated procedure, or each of the regulated procedures, previously applied to the animal has been classified in accordance with conditions5 included in a project licence and, in a case where more than one regulated procedure has previously been applied to the animal, the actual severity of no more than one of those
