114. Powers of arrest.

Except in the cases and within the limits dealt with in the preceding paragraphs1 a gamekeeper has no special powers of arrest. Outside the limits of his employer's ground a gamekeeper may arrest only with the authority of the owner or gamekeeper of the land on which the offender is found, unless he has pursued the offender from his own employer's ground2, but he has the right, in common with everyone else in specific circumstances, of arresting anyone who is in the act of committing an indictable offence3 (or anyone whom he has reasonable grounds for suspecting to be
