If a person is convicted of a specified offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, 1the court by or before which he is convicted may, instead of or in addition to dealing with him in any other way:
(1) make an order cancelling any licence2 held by him; or
(2) make an order disqualifying him, for such period as it thinks fit, from holding a licence3.
Disqualification may be imposed in relation to licences generally or in relation to licences of one or more kinds4.
