Any movement within the EU of a live specimen of a species listed in Annex A1 from the location indicated in the import permit2 or in any certificate issued in compliance with the Regulation3 requires prior authorisation from a management authority4 of the member state in which the specimen is located; in other cases of movement, the person responsible for moving the specimen must be able, where applicable, to provide proof of the legal origin of the specimen5.
