A person must not intentionally kill a relevant protected animal1 unless:
(1) the person kills the animal in a place that is specified in a licence2 authorising the holder to carry on at a specified place an undertaking which involves an activity that would otherwise be prohibited3;
(2) the person kills the animal using an appropriate method4; and
(3) the person is registered in a register kept by the holder of the licence5 as being competent to kill animals of that description using that method6.
However, a person may kill an animal otherwise than in accordance with the above provision7
