On 31 January 2020 the UK left the European Union. On 31 December 2020 ('IP completion day') the transitional period during which EU law continued to apply in the UK ended. IP completion day was the date that most of the key domestic legal changes associated with Brexit took effect, including the incorporation of EU law into the domestic legal regime and commencement of associated Brexit legislation, including Brexit Statutory Instruments.
