109. Gamekeepers in manors.

In a manor, lordship or royalty, or reputed manor, lordship or royalty1, the lord or, in the case of a manor, lordship or royalty belonging to the Crown, the steward thereof, may by deed or, in the case of a body corporate, by writing under its seal, appoint2 one or more persons to act as gamekeeper3 to preserve or kill the game4 within its limits for the use of the lord or steward5.
