124. Exemptions from the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

Exemptions from the provisions of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 are given in respect of specific activities. Nothing in that Act applies to anything lawfully done under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 19861. No power of entry, inspection or search conferred by or under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, except for any such power conferred in relation to the inspection of farm premises2, may be exercised in relation to a place which is specified in a licence3 of undertaking involving the use of animals for scientific procedures4.
