There is a right of appeal to a magistrates' court1 against:
(1) a zoo closure direction2;
(2) the refusal to approve a plan prepared as to the future care or disposal of animals following closure of a zoo3;
(3) a direction, or variation thereof, as to the future care or disposal of animals following closure of a zoo4; or
(4) any arrangements made by the local authority as to the care or disposal of animals5.
An appeal must be brought within 28 days from receipt of written notification of the authority's decision, and will lie whether or not the authority's
