An authorised officer1 may prohibit the movement of any produce in respect of which, on inspection2, he is satisfied that a grading offence3 is being committed4. Where an officer exercises this power he must, without delay, give to the person who appears to be in charge of the produce written notice specifying the produce and prohibiting movement of it without the written consent of an authorised officer5. An authorised officer may attach labels to produce the movement of which has been so prohibited6.
