130. Power to control pesticides and plant protection products.

Provision is made1 with a view to the continuous development of means to protect the health of human beings, creatures2 and plants3, to safeguard the environment4, and to secure safe, efficient and humane methods of controlling pests5, and with a view to making information about pesticides6 available to the public7. These provisions apply to any substance, preparation or organism prepared or used as if it were a pesticide for the purpose of:

  1.  

    (1)     protecting plants or wood or other plant products from harmful organisms8;

  2.  

    (2)     regulating the growth of plants9;

  3.  

    (3)     giving protection against harmful creatures10;
