143. Permitted movement during standstill.

Notwithstanding restrictions on the movement of cattle, sheep, goats1 and pigs2, animals3 may be moved off premises during the standstill period4 if the movement is one that is permitted under the following provisions or if a permit disapplying the standstill period has been issued by a veterinary inspector5.

The following movement are permitted off premises during the standstill period:

(1)     the movement of an animal to a place for veterinary treatment6;

(2)     the movement of an animal from a place for veterinary treatment provided the animal has not come into contact with other animals while at the place of treatment7;
