166.     Objectives of the Meat Industry (Wales) Measure 2010.

Provision is made for the regulation of the red meat industry in Wales by the Red Meat Industry (Wales) Measure 20101.

The objectives of the Red Meat Industry (Wales) Measure 2010 are:

  1.  

    (1)     increasing efficiency or productivity in the red meat industry;

  2.  

    (2)     improving marketing in the industry;

  3.  

    (3)     improving or developing services that the industry provides or could provide to the community; and

  4.  

    (4)     improving the ways in which the industry contributes to sustainable development2
