The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority 1 is empowered to grant gangmaster licences at its discretion2 and subject to such conditions as it considers appropriate3. Licences may be granted to individuals, bodies corporate4, unincorporated associations5 and partnerships6, and may authorise activities both by the holder of the licence7 and by persons employed or engaged by the holder of the licence who are named or otherwise specified in the licence8. An application for a licence must be made on the form provided by the Authority and contain such information as the Authority requires for the purposes of determining the application
