Any person authorised by the Secretary of State, the Welsh Ministers1 or an authorised local authority2 may, on the production, if required, of his authority, enter on and inspect any land for the purpose of carrying into effect the statutory provisions for the prevention of the spread of injurious weeds3. Entry and inspection may be carried out only after service on the occupier4 of notice of the date when the inspection is to take place5. Any person preventing or obstructing such entry commits an offence6.
