Where, under the EU provisions1, hops2 or hop products3 are required to be certified4 in the United Kingdom5, the certification must be carried out in accordance with those provisions by a certifying officer6, and no document purporting to be a certificate will be valid unless it is issued by a certifying officer7.
It is an offence8 for any person:
(1) without due authority, and with intent to deceive, to remove, alter, conceal or deface any certificate9, or any prescribed10 seal or mark, lawfully applied to, accompanying or relating to any hops or hop products
