366.     Burning of crop residues.

The Secretary of State and the Welsh Ministers1 may by regulations prohibit or restrict the burning of crop residues2 on agricultural land3 by persons engaged in agriculture4, and may by the same or other regulations provide exemptions from any prohibition or restriction so imposed5. Pursuant to these powers regulations have been made prohibiting the burning on agricultural land, by any person engaged in agriculture, of any crop residue6 of a specified kind7 unless the burning is for the purposes of education or research8, disease control or the elimination of plant pests9, or
