In relation to England1, approvals, authorisations, licences and registrations are granted by the Secretary of State2 and must be granted, subject to the necessary conditions3, if he is satisfied that the relevant transmissible spongiform encephalopathy ('TSE') requirements4 will be complied with5.
The Secretary of State may suspend or amend an approval, authorisation, licence or registration so granted if any of the conditions under which it was granted is not fulfilled or if he is satisfied that the TSE requirements are not being complied with6.
