The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority1 may appoint officers ('compliance officers') to act for the purposes of verifying, from time to time or in such circumstances as the Authority may determine, compliance by a licence holder with the conditions of his licence2. Compliance officers have the same powers to request, obtain and supply information for these purposes as do enforcement officers3 in pursuance of their statutory functions4.

(1) intentionally obstructs a compliance officer who is acting in the exercise of his statutory
