314. Appointment of enforcement officers.

The Secretary of State1 may appoint officers ('enforcement officers'2) to enforce the prohibition of unlicensed activities by gangmasters3 and to take action in circumstances in which it appears that the offence of entering into arrangements with gangmasters4 has been, is being, or may be committed5, and may also, either instead of or in addition to making such appointments, make arrangements with a relevant authority6 for officers of that authority to be enforcement officers7.

A person who either intentionally obstructs an enforcement officer who is acting in the exercise of his statutory functions
