529. The nature of relevant improvements.

Relevant improvements for which compensation is payable1 are either long term improvements2 or short term improvements for which no consent is required3 carried out on the holding by the tenant on or after 1 March 19484.

Long term improvements are divided into two categories, namely improvements to which the consent of the landlord is required5 and improvements to which the consent of the landlord or the approval of the Tribunal6 is required7.

The improvements to which the consent of the landlord is required are:

    (1)     making or planting of osier beds8;

  2.  

    (2)     making of water meadows9;

  3.  

    (3)     making of watercress beds10;
