448. Tenancies determined by death or cesser of landlord's estate.

Where the tenancy of any agricultural holding1 held by a tenant2 at a rack rent determines by the death or cesser of the estate of any landlord3 entitled for his life, or for any other uncertain interest, instead of claims to emblements4 the tenant is entitled to continue in occupation of the holding until the occupation is determined by a 12 months' notice to quit expiring at the end of a year of the tenancy, and then to quit upon the terms of his tenancy in the same manner as if it were then determined by effluxion of time
