429. Sub-tenancies.

There is a power for the Lord Chancellor by order to make supplementary provision to extend the statutory provisions conferring security of tenure on tenants of agricultural holdings so as to protect agricultural sub-tenants against the head landlord should the head tenancy be determined1.

Whilst the head tenancy endures the sub-tenant enjoys the same security of tenure and benefits and burdens of an agricultural holding as any other tenant; sub-tenants are not protected on the termination of the superior interest of the head tenant by the head landlord
