693.     Sale or lease of allotment land.

A county council in England1, or a county or county borough council in Wales2, may sell or let to any district, parish, or London borough council, or, in Wales, any community council3, for the purpose of allotments4, any land5 acquired by it for smallholdings6 or cottage holdings7.
