Allotment wardens (or their successors)1 may, with the approval of the Secretary of State or the Welsh Ministers2, sell all or any part of a field garden3 and purchase other suitable land for the same purpose4. The Secretary of State and the Welsh Ministers may also authorise the exchange of inconveniently placed or unsuitable field gardens for other land5.
Allotment wardens or their successors may, by agreement with the council of the London borough, district, parish, or, in Wales, county, county borough or community in which the field garden is wholly or partly situated, transfer the management of the land6
