Where land1 has been hired compulsorily2 for allotments, and the land or any part of it at any time during the council's3 tenancy is shown to the satisfaction of the Secretary of State or the Welsh Ministers4 to be required by the landlord5 to be used for building, mining, or other industrial purposes, or for roads necessary therefor, the landlord may resume possession of the land or part of it6 upon giving the council 12 months' previous written notice of his intention, or such shorter notice as may be required by the compulsory hiring order7.
