(ii)     Restriction on Operation of Notices to Quit

471.     Restriction by counter-notice.

Where a notice to quit the whole or part of an agricultural holding1 is given to the tenant2, and he serves a counter-notice in writing on the landlord3 not later than one month from the giving of the notice to quit4, then, subject to certain exceptions5, the notice to quit is ineffective unless the Tribunal6 consents to its operation7. The counter-notice must require that these provisions8 apply to the notice to quit9.
