A district, parish, London borough, or, in Wales, a community, county or county borough council1 may make such rules2 as appear to be necessary or proper for regulating the letting of allotments3, for preventing any undue preference in such letting, and generally for giving effect to the statutory requirements relating to the provision of allotments4. The rules may define the persons eligible to be tenants5, the notices to be given6 for the letting
