Allotments authorities1 may, with a view to ascertaining whether any land is suitable for any purpose for which it has power to acquire land2, authorise in writing3 any person to enter and inspect the land specified, and anyone who obstructs or impedes any person acting under and in accordance with such authority commits an offence4.
