The amount of compensation for particular deterioration payable under the Agricultural Holdings Act 19861 is the cost, as at the date of the tenant's2 quitting the holding, of making good the dilapidation, deterioration or damage3, subject to a limitation that the costs must not exceed the amount (if any) by which the value of the landlord's4 reversion in the holding is diminished5 owing to the specific dilapidation, deterioration or damage6.
