Subject to certain exceptions1, where any land is let2 to a person for use as agricultural land3 for an interest less than a tenancy from year to year4 or a person is granted a licence to occupy land for use as agricultural land5, where the circumstances are such that if his interest were a tenancy from year to year he would in respect of that land be the tenant6 of an agricultural holding7, then the agreement takes effect as if it were a tenancy from year to year8.
