Case G applies where the notice to quit1 is given following the death of a person who immediately before his death was the sole (or sole surviving) tenant2 under the contract of tenancy3, and not later than the end of the period of three months beginning with the date of any relevant notice4, and it is stated in the notice to quit that it is given by reason of that person's death5.
