726.     Borrowing powers of authorities in connection with allotments.

The council of a London borough, district, parish, or, in Wales, county, county borough or community1 may borrow for the purposes of acquiring, improving and adapting land2 for allotments3. District, London borough, county and county borough councils4 may borrow for the purposes of making grants to co-operative societies5. The Treasury may lend money to any local authority for any purpose for which the authority has power to borrow6.
