The nominated successor1 of a retiring tenant2 may apply to the Tribunal3 for a direction entitling him to a tenancy4 of the holding5. That application must be made within the relevant period6. It must be accompanied by a copy of the retirement notice7 and be signed by both the nominated successor and the retiring tenant (or tenants where the retirement notice was given by joint tenants)8. If the retirement notice includes a statement that it is given on the ground of bodily or mental infirmity9, the Tribunal must, before proceeding with the application, satisfy itself that the retiring tenant
