The Public Guardian2 is responsible for establishing and maintaining a register of guardianship orders3, and for supervising guardians4. He is required to report to the court on such matters relating to proceedings under the Guardianship (Missing Persons) Act 2017 as the court requires5.
His functions also include dealing with representations (including complaints) about the way in which a guardian is exercising the guardian's functions6, and publishing information about the exercise of his functions in connection with guardians and guardianship orders7.
