The statutory regulation of estate agents1 does not apply to things done:
(1) in the course of his profession by a practising solicitor2 or a person employed3 by him4;
(2) in the course of credit brokerage5;
(3) in the course of carrying out any survey or valuation pursuant to a contract which is distinct from that under which estate agency work6 is done7;
(4) in connection with specified planning matters8,
or to things done by any person:
(a) pursuant to instructions received by him in the course of his employment in relation to an interest
