218.     Effect of lasting power.

A lasting power of attorney1 is a power of attorney under which the donor confers on the donee or donees authority to make decisions2 about all or any of the donor's personal welfare, property3 and affairs or specified matters concerning his personal welfare, property and affairs, and which includes authority to make such decisions in circumstances where the donor no longer has capacity4.
