Every person who engages in relevant estate agency work (that is estate agency work in relation to residential property1) is required to be a member of an approved redress scheme for dealing with complaints2 in connection with that work3. Membership of an approved redress scheme is also open to persons who are not subject to the statutory duty4 to be members of such a scheme5.
An approved redress scheme may also provide for the investigation and determination of any complaints in relation to which the duty to be a member of a scheme does not apply if the members concerned
