(v)     Co-principals and Co-agents

27.     Co-principals.

Co-principals may jointly appoint an agent to act for them, and in such case become jointly liable to him1, and may jointly sue him2. The agent is not bound to account separately to one of several co-principals3, and, if he has done so, is not, apart from special stipulation, thereby discharged from liability to the other or others4 unless the co-principals are also partners5.
