An agent is under no responsibility to his principal for the acts or defaults1 of his co-agents (except where they are his partners2) unless he expressly or tacitly authorised such acts or defaults3.
An agent is, however, liable for the acts4 and defaults5 of his sub-agents even though their employment was authorised by his principal6, and he must account to his principal for all money received by them7.
