259. Bankrupts not permitted to do estate agency work.

An individual who is made bankrupt or in respect of whom a debt relief order is made1 may not engage in any form of estate agency work2 except as an employee of another3. If he does engage in estate agency work in contravention of this restriction, he commits an offence4.

This prohibition ceases to have effect when:


    (1)     the bankruptcy order made against the individual is annulled5; or


    (2)     the person in question is discharged from bankruptcy6; or


    (3)     the debt relief order is revoked on the ground that any information supplied by the debtor was incomplete, incorrect or otherwise
