C: AMENDMENT AND ALTERATION OF CHARTERS

9 Introduction

Once a corporation has been created by charter, the charter itself can only be amended or altered in two ways: (a) by the grant of a supplemental charter for which a petition has to be presented to the Privy Council Office in the same manner as for the grant of an original charter1; or (b) where the existing charter makes appropriate provision, by resolution of the members of the corporation, subject to approval by Order in Council2.
