The petition and the draft charter, when ready, should be lodged with the Clerk of the Privy Council at the Privy Council Office.

It is the normal practice of the Privy Council Office to publish notices in the London Gazette1 of all petitions for the grant of charters and supplemental charters, and to invite the submission of representations for or against such a grant.
