87 Waste management operations

The Environmental Protection Act 1990 provided a new waste disposal regulation regime and imposed a duty of care on any person who imported, produced, carried, kept, treated, or disposed of controlled waste or, who, as a broker, had control of such waste1. This regime is now encompassed in the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations2.
