85 Disposal of mine or quarry waste

Mine or quarry waste deposited on the site of a mineral working will be subject to the control of the landowner (if the land is not owned by the mineral operator), planning and waste legislation1, and legislation specifically enacted to provide for the safety of the public, particularly the Mines and Quarries (Tips) Act 19692, the Quarries Regulations 1999 Part VI3 and the Mines Regulations 20144.
