61 Permitted development involving minerals

Not all operations involving the winning and working of minerals require planning consent. In common with other forms of development, there are certain classes of development, now contained in the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 20151, for which planning permission is not required.

For a complete list of the classes of operation exempted by the 2015 Order, reference should be made to the full text and specifically to Schedule 2 Part 17, but the main classes likely to be of interest to practitioners are:
