41 Power of limited owners to grant mining leases

Tenants for life and statutory owners of settled land1, trustees of land, personal representatives2, and the managing trustees of charitable, ecclesiastical or public trusts3, have power to grant mining leases4, for a term not exceeding 100 years5. They may also grant an option exercisable during any period not exceeding ten years to take a lease6; and such an option may be coupled with a licence to search for and prove mines and minerals under the land pending the exercise
