19.7 Counter-notice to mine owner

The undertakers may (but are not obliged to), at any time after receiving a notice of approach from a mine owner, give a counter-notice to the mine owner stating their willingness to make compensation for all or any part of the minerals1. The effect of the giving of such a counter-notice is that, except as to any part of the specified minerals already worked2, the minerals may not be removed, and the mine owner is entitled to compensation for such minerals3.
