9 Extent of application of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988

The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 Part I (Sections 1–179), which deals with copyright, extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland1. It will also extend, subject to any specified exceptions and modifications, to any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any colony as may be directed by Order in Council2, but this does not restrict the extent of the transitional provisions provided for any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any colony as dependent territories
