89 Articles for producing material in a particular typeface

Where articles have been marketed1 by or under licence of the copyright owner, which are specifically designed or adapted for producing material in a particular typeface in which copyright subsists, then after the period of 25 years from the end of the calendar year in which the articles were first marketed the artistic work consisting of the design of the typeface can be copied2. Where such articles had already been marketed by 1 August 1989, the period of copyright is 25 years from 31 December 19893.
